UCLA Men's Basketball Signs Wanaah Bail

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA men's basketball program has received a signed grant-in-aid from Wanaah Bail, a 6-foot-9 forward from Houston, Texas, as announced by head coach Steve Alford.

Bail was ranked by as the No. 28 player at his position and the No. 115 overall player in the high school class of 2012. He graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 2012, where he was a two-year varsity letterwinner playing for head coach Luke Lucky.

"Wanaah is a terrific young man, and we are thrilled that he will be able to join us this summer," Alford said. "He has emerged as a very athletic, talented forward with tremendous upside. Our team is looking forward to playing with Wanaah, and we are very excited about his future in Westwood."

"Today, I signed my financial aid agreement declaring my intent to attend UCLA," Bail said. "In the coming weeks, I will be arriving on campus to begin summer classes in pursuit of my degree. In addition, I look forward to joining my teammates and Coach Alford and his staff to begin preparing for the upcoming season. UCLA has a long history of excellence on and off the basketball court. I am excited to join the Bruin family, get in school and get to work."

Bail's eligibility to compete in the 2013-14 season is undetermined. UCLA will continue to work through the process to determine his status for the upcoming season.
