The 15th-ranked Bruins finish up the regular season at Oregon State this week, with Thursday and Friday 3 p.m. games and a Saturday 1 p.m. contest. All three games will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks. Gametracker will be available at, in addition to live updates at

The Bruins find out where their postseason journey begins on Sunday when the NCAA Selection Show airs live on ESPNU at 7 p.m. The NCAA Regionals, with 16 locations hosting four teams each, will run from May 17-19 at campus sites.

UCLA remained at 15th in this week's USA Today/NFCA poll and improved one spot to 16th in the latest Softball rankings. In the NFCA poll, the Bruins earned 30 more points, the fourth straight week they have gained in the points column, but stayed at 15th for the second week in a row. In the USA Softball rankings, the Bruins moved from 17th to 16th, gaining 16 additional points, also the fourth straight week they have gained points in that poll.

Sophomore Mysha Sataraka has home runs in five of her last nine games after going 14 contests without leaving the yard. Over the last nine, she is hitting .320 (8-for-25) with 13 RBI, eight runs and seven walks ... junior B.B. Bates has RBI in 10 straight and hits in a career-high 11 in a row, batting .514 (18-for-35) during the last 11 with eight homers, 25 RBI and 15 runs. Bates, who entered the week third in the nation in RBI (70), fourth in homers (23) and sixth in slugging (.906), has the third-most homers in one season in UCLA history and is one away from second (Tairia Mims, 24). The senior is also tied for fifth in RBI for one year and solo fifth in slugging. Bates is in the UCLA career Top 10 in five categories. She is fourth in homers (53), fifth in RBI (193) and total bases (447), tied for fifth in slugging (.633) and seventh in runs (168) ... sophomore Gracie Goulder has hits in six in a row and 11 of her last 12, posting a .389 average (14-for-36) over the last dozen contests with 10 runs scored ... senior Devon Lindvall has hits in six of her last seven games, producing a .350 average (7-for-20) with a homer and three RBI ... freshman Allexis Bennett has hits in seven of her last eight games, batting .478 (11-for-23) with nine runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases ... the Bruins tied a school record on April 19 at Arizona with seven home runs ... UCLA is second in the nation in fielding percentage (.980), sixth in home runs (79) and 13th in slugging (.532).

Oregon State (32-20, 7-14 Pac-12) had won four straight Pac-12 games, including a sweep of Arizona (April 26-28), before getting swept at Oregon last weekend (2-1, 11-0 and 8-0). The Beavers are hitting .283 as a team with 49 home runs and 46 stolen bases, averaging 5.0 runs per game. Four players are batting over .300, led by freshman Natalie Hampton, who is tied for first with a .342 average and solo first with 14 homers and 47 RBI. Senior Lea Cavestany also has a .342 average and is second with 10 homers and 42 RBI. Senior Elizabeth Santana is batting .325 with 23 RBI and a team-best 11 steals and sophomore Ya Garcia is hitting .320 with nine steals and eight RBI. During Pac-12 play, the Beavers are batting .214 as a team with 12 homers and seven steals, averaging 2.5 runs per game. Garcia has the highest conference average at .288, while Cavestany has driven in a team-high 12 RBI. In the circle, seniors Marina Demore and Tina Andreana have combined to start 46 of 52 games. Demore is 19-10 with a 3.09 earned run average and 93 strikeouts in 158 2/3 innings. Andreana is 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 116 1/3 innings. Andreana has done the best of the duo during Pac-12 play, posting a 3.71 ERA and a 4-5 record with 45 strikeouts in 66 innings. Laura Berg is in her first season as Oregon State's head coach.

UCLA leads the all-time series with Oregon State 86-11 and took 2-of-3 last year at Easton Stadium (March 30-April 1). The Bruins won the first two games 8-4 and 8-0 in five innings before falling 7-5 in the series finale. That Oregon State victory snapped UCLA's 12-game winning streak in the series. The Bruins are 36-6 in Corvallis, having won the last five. Oregon State's last win at home against UCLA was a 5-3 triumph on May 9, 2008.
