LOUISVILLE, Ky. - UCLA went 2-0 in elimination games on Saturday at Ulmer Stadium, starting things off with an 8-0 victory over IPFW and finishing the evening with a 19-2 thumping of #15-seed Louisville to advance to Sunday's Regional Championship contest. Freshman Allexis Bennett went 6-for-6 on the day with five RBI and her first career home run.

The Bruins (39-19) will play UAB on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT and will need to defeat the Blazers twice to advance to next week's Super Regionals.

In the nightcap against Louisville, the Bruins scored three in the first, nine in the second and six in the third. Including the last inning of its first game of the day against IPFW, UCLA scored 24 runs over four consecutive frames. The 19 runs for the Bruins are a school postseason record for one game, breaking the mark of 16 set against Florida at the 2010 Women's College World Series.

Eight different Bruins had a hit, as they had 12 as a team, and every player scored at least once. Bennett went 3-for-3 with five RBI, freshman Mysha Sataraka had two hits and four RBI and sophomore Gracie Goulder posted two hits and three RBI. In the circle, sophomore Ally Carda (23-10) started and allowed just one hit in three innings of work, striking out two and posting 1-2-3 innings in the first and third. Freshman Paige McDuffee tossed two frames of relief, giving up two unearned runs and two hits, retiring the side in order in the fifth.

The Bruins scored three runs on only one hit in the top of the first. Senior B.B. Bates drew a leadoff walk, and one out later, Carda was issued a free pass. Sataraka followed with a homer to right-center, her ninth of the season, to make it 3-0.

UCLA broke it open with nine in the second. Senior Devon Lindvall led off with a walk and stole second, Goulder drew a free pass and Bennett reached on a fielding error by the Louisville pitcher on a bunt attempt to load the bases. Bates followed with a grounder to second, as Lindvall was forced at home for the first out. Sophomore Stephany LaRosa then chopped a ball to short, but Whitney Arion had no play, as Goulder scored the Bruins' fourth run. One out later, Sataraka drew a walk to force home Bennett to make it 5-0. A single by freshman Britney Rodriguez brought in Bates and LaRosa to increase the advantage to 7-0.

A walk to junior Jessica Hall re-loaded the bases for Lindvall, who was hit by a pitch to make it 8-0. Goulder followed with a single to left to plate Rodriguez and Hall to make it 10-0. Bennett then singled to left to bring home Lindvall with run number 11. The throw home allowed Bennett to move to second, and when the Cardinals threw down to try and get her, Goulder crossed the plate to make it 12-0.

In the third, the Bruins added six more. A LaRosa single to left began the inning and she came home on a bomb to left by Carda, her 17th of the season, to make it 14-0. Sataraka singled to left, but was forced at second for the first out on a grounder off the bat of Rodriguez. One out later, Lindvall walked and Goulder singled to right to plate Rodriguez with the Bruins' 15th run. Bennett then hit her first collegiate homer to right-center to make it 18-0.

The Cardinals (48-12) scored two unearned runs in the fourth, but the Bruins got one back in the fifth. Hall led off with a double to right and came home two outs later on a single up the middle from Bennett to make it 19-2.

In game one versus IPFW, the Bruins scored single runs in the fifth and sixth and then broke it open with a six-spot in the seventh. Hall (10-7) struck out six in six innings, giving up just three hits and one walk. Hall had 1-2-3 innings in the second and fifth and struck out a pair in the second and fourth. Carda tossed the seventh inning and retired the side in order, fanning a pair.

At the plate, the Bruins had 11 hits, as seven different players posted at least one. Bennett went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases, while Carda and Bates each added a pair of hits.

After the Mastodons (34-16) had a leadoff walk in the first and the Bruins had an inning-opening free pass in the second, UCLA recorded the first scoring opportunity of the game in the top of the third, but stranded the bases loaded. With one out, Bennett singled to left and Bates singled to right. One out later, Carda smashed a comebacker off the pitcher's glove for an infield single to load the bases, but Sataraka popped up to the second baseman in shallow right to end the frame.

IPFW had its first great chance in its half of the third, as the inning began with a single up the middle by Brittany Kachur and a bunt single from Larissa Franklin. After a sacrifice by Alex Bousquet and a strikeout of Kayti Hanson, Ashleigh Bousquet tapped a ball to short, as LaRosa fielded an in-between hop and side-armed to first to end the inning.

In the top of the fifth, the Bruins broke the scoreless tie. With one out, Bennett singled up the middle and stole second. One out later, LaRosa singled to right to plate Bennett and put UCLA on top 1-0.

UCLA added an insurance run in the top of the sixth. With two outs, Lindvall smashed a 3-2 pitch over the left-field wall, her second homer of the season, to make it 2-0.

The Bruins broke it open with six in the seventh. Bennett led off with a bunt single in front of the plate, stole second and scored on a double to right-center by Bates to make it 3-0. Bates strayed too far off the second-base bag on a grounder to third by LaRosa and was thrown out, but Carda followed with a single to left to put LaRosa at second. Sataraka then hit a ball through the legs of IPFW third baseman Ashleigh Bousquet, allowing LaRosa to score, Carda to move to third and Sataraka to advance to second.

With sophomores Tara Mueller and Kaelin Sprawls running for Carda and Sataraka, respectively, Rodriguez singled up the middle to plate both to make it 6-0. Sophomore Sam Duran came in to run for Rodriguez and scored on a triple to right by Hall, who then scampered home on a relay throwing error by IPFW second baseman Hanson to make it 8-0.
