Gearing up for the upcoming ISF X Junior Women's World Championship, the USA Softball Junior Women's Team competed in six exhibition games over the last week. Mysha Sataraka led the team over the half dozen contests with four homers, 12 RBI, nine runs, four walks and a .571 (8-for-14) average, while Paige McDuffee tossed seven innings, struck out four and pitched three 1-2-3 frames.

Sataraka has started all six games, half at third base and half at first. She began the exhibition tour hot and has stayed that way, going 3-for-3 with an RBI triple and an RBI single in game one against the Ashland (Ohio) All-Stars on June 21. The next day, Sataraka hit her first homer of the tour, a two-run shot, to go with two walks, in the first game of a doubleheader, adding an RBI and another walk in the June 22 nightcap.

McDuffee made her first appearance as a starter in the first game of the June 22 doubleheader against Ashland and struck out one in four scoreless innings. She allowed only two hits and posted a pair of 1-2-3 frames.

The exhibition tour moved to Glenville, W.V. on Monday with two more games and Sataraka continued to rake. In the first contest with the Glenville All-Stars, she went 3-for-3 with six runs batted in on a two-run homer, a three-run shot and an RBI single, also adding a stolen base. In the nightcap, Sataraka left the yard again for the fourth time in her last four contests, a solo shot, to go with a walk.

McDuffee started her second game of the tour in the nightcap on Monday. She went three innings and struck out three, tossing one 1-2-3 frame. She allowed two hits, two walks and two earned runs.

Following a youth clinic in Glenville on Tuesday, the team heads north of the border for the ISF X Junior Women's World Championship, which will take place in Brampton, Ontario, Canada from July 1-7. Complete coverage, including live stats and streaming video, will be available here.
