IRVINE, Calif. - Several Bruins continued their summer swimming at the Los Angeles Invitational last weekend. Noelle Tarazona took first-place honors in the 200 Individual Medley and teamed up with Monica Dornick, Taylor Carlson and Jessica Khojasteh to win the 400 Freestyle Relay.

The meet began on Friday with three Bruins making the Championship Final of events, led by Tarazona, who finished first in the 200 IM in a time of 2:19.72, shaving more than four seconds off her preliminary mark of 2:23.92. Katy Campbell opened the meet with a seventh-place finish in the 400 Free (4:25.55).

Five Bruins advanced to the evening session on Friday in the 50 Free. Anna Senko made the Championship Final, placing eighth with a time of 27.04. Carlson won the A Consolation (9th overall) with a time of 27.03, with teammate Courtney Wilde finishing 13th at 27.37. Khojasteh (18th, 27.50) and Jesse Bergman (22nd, 27.89) each made the B Consolation.

On Saturday, the Bruins earned six spots in Championship Finals, while a pair of relay teams took second in their respective events. Dornick, Carlson, Khojasteh and Hayley Hacker finished second in the 200 Free Relay (1:48.96). Hacker, Khojasteh and Dornick, along with Tarazona, came back later in the day to place second in the 400 Medley Relay (4:26.85).

A pair of Bruins were in the 400 IM Championship Final, as Lauren Baker took second with a career-best 4:53.81, while Tarazona was third at 4:54.92, clearing over 11 seconds off her prelim time. Tarazona was right back in another Championship in the 100 Butterfly, placing third at 1:02.52.

Four Bruins made the evening portion of the 200 Free, including Senko and Baker. Senko was second in the Championship Final with a time of 2:03.65, while Baker was seventh (2:06.74), swimming a career-best 2:06.07 in the prelims. Campbell won the A Consolation in a time of 2:05.94 and Wilde was 23rd overall (2:10.82).

Khojasteh was eighth in the 100 Breaststroke Championship Final with a time of 1:16.36, Carlson made the A Consolation and was 13th overall (1:17.31) and Emily Weir was 19th overall (1:18.73) in reaching the B Consolation. In the 100 Backstroke, Bergman made the A Consolation (14th, 1:07.17) and Wilde swam in the B Consolation (20th, 1:08.11).

On Sunday, a trio of Bruins were in the A Consolation of the 200 Back. Wilde finished 12th overall (2:26.19), followed by Bergman (13th, 2:26.71) and Campbell (14th, 2:27.20). Four Bruins were a part of the evening session of the 100 Free. Dornick advanced to the Championship Final and was third with a time of 57.38. Carlson won the A Consolation (58.06), while Murphy was 11th overall (58.47). Wilde made the B Consolation and was 21st (1:00.08).

In the 200 Breast Championship Final, Khojasteh was fifth with a time of 2:43.18. Tarazona claimed second in the 200 Fly with a mark of 2:14.33. Then to close out the meet, Dornick, Carlson, Tarazona and Khojasteh won the 400 Free Relay in a time of 3:55.30.
