The U.S. U-20 WNT will play against Japan's U-20 squad on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 4 pm and Sunday, Aug. 11 at 12 pm. Both matches will take place on David Vanole Field (Field #3). Admission and parking are free to the public.
Rowland, a junior goalkeeper from Vacaville, Calif., led the Pac-12 in 2012 with 11 shutouts and a 0.55 goals against average. She earned NSCAA All-Pacific Region third-team honors and was named to the All-Pac-12 second team. Rowland also set a new UCLA record for consecutive shutout minutes with 564 to start the season, breaking the previous record of 540, set by CiCi Peterson.
Kaskie, a freshman midfielder from Las Vegas, Nev., was a member of the U.S. team that won the 2012 CONCACAF U-17 Women's Championship. The 2011 Gatorade Girls' Soccer Player of the Year for Nevada was ranked the No. 8 recruit in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer.
Miranda, a freshman midfielder from Highlands Ranch, Colo., was also a member of the U.S. team at the 2012 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and totaled two assists in the tournament. A two-time NSCAA All-American, she is the No. 2 ranked recruit in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer.
The USA is preparing for the eight-team CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament that will send the top three finishers to 2014 FIFA U-20 World Cup Women’s World Cup in Canada. The qualifying competition will be held from January 9-19, 2014, in the Cayman Islands.
