UCLA freshman forward Darian Jenkins was named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness National Player of the Week, while junior midfielders Sam Mewis (Top Drawer Soccer) and Sarah Killion (College Soccer 360) received national recognition.

Jenkins received her first conference honor after scoring a goal in each game to help lead UCLA to the Notre Dame adidas Invitational championship. Jenkins was named the Offensive MVP of the tournament and named to the all-tournament team after scoring the tying goal in the Marquette game and the winning goal in the Notre Dame victory. The Bruin freshman has scored a goal in every game so far this season, and she leads the team with four goals and eight points. Her four-game goal-scoring streak is the longest by a Bruin since Lauren Cheney scored in six consecutive games from Oct. 14-Nov. 4, 2007.

Mewis scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Marquette, scoring in the 61st minute to break a 1-1 tie. The goal was Mewis' first of the year. Killion had an assist on Jenkins' game-tying goal against Marquette and played 90 strong minutes in both victories. Both Mewis and Killion were named to the Notre Dame adidas Invitational All-Tournament Team.

The Bruins, which are now ranked No. 2 by Soccer America and No. 3 by the NSCAA, will face No. 1 North Carolina on Friday at the Duke Nike Classic.
