UCLA Shuts Out Oregon State, 3-0
By: UCLA Athletics
The second-ranked UCLA women's soccer team moved one step closer to an 11th conference title after a 3-0 victory over Oregon State on Friday night. The Bruins (15-1-2, 7-0-2 in the Pac-12) scored two first-half goals en route to its 12th shutout of the year.

UCLA jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute after freshman Darian Jenkins tallied her team-leading 10th goal of the season. Jenna Richmond sent a through ball to Jenkins in the box, and Jenkins finished near post at 15:22.

A well-timed group of substitutions led to the Bruins' next goal. Courtney Proctor, Rosie White and Lauren Kaskie checked in just before a Bruin corner kick. Kaskie took the corner, and with Proctor creating a diversion in the box, Mewis headed Kaskie's corner over the goalkeeper's head for the goal, her fourth of the year.

White, fresh off a one-week spell with the New Zealand National Team, scored her third goal of the year at 75:00. Proctor played a ball to Smith, whose through ball to White was finished near post.

UCLA finished the game with 20 shots, 10 of which were saved by Oregon State goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme. The Beavers (5-11-2, 3-5-1), by contrast, had just three shots, all off-target. Bruin goalkeepers Katelyn Rowland (75 minutes) and Alana Munger (15 minutes) combined for the shutout.

The Bruins will try to clinch the Pac-12 title on Sunday vs. Oregon at 1 pm. A win will give UCLA its 11th conference crown. A tie will give the Bruins a share of the title.
