Alison Lee Named Pac-12 Golfer of the Month

UCLA freshman Alison Lee was named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Month for October, the conference announced this week.

Lee, 18, won twice and finished tied for eighth in three tournaments allowed during the nomination period. On Oct. 15, Lee won the 40th annual Betsy Rawls Invitational, hosted by the University of Texas by firing rounds of 69-68-67—204 (-12) to win by four shots. Two weeks later, she posted rounds of 69-67-70—206 (-7) to win the Stanford Intercollegiate title by one shot. On Nov. 5, she tied for eighth at the Pac-12 Preview with scores of 71-75-71—217 (-2) to win at Nanea GC (par 73) in Hawai’i.

In four starts (12 rounds) this Fall, Lee boasts a scoring average of 69.7 and is 27-under par. She has recorded three podium finishes (2nd at the Mason Rudolph Championship, Sept. 22), and leads the team with 10 rounds under par and six rounds under 70. She was named UCLA’s Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week twice in a row (Oct. 21st and 28th).

As of Nov. 5 she was the consensus No. 1 ranked collegiate golfer in the country.
