LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UCLA freshman linebacker Myles Jack was one of four players named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll, the Louisville Sports Commission announced Monday.
Jack helped lead UCLA to a critical Pac-12 South victory on the road at Arizona by playing a huge part at his regular linebacker position and on offense. In his debut on the offensive side of the ball, Jack rushed the ball six times for 120 yards, including a 66-yard score.
On defense, Jack had eight tackles, one tackle for a loss of two yards, two pass break-ups and recovered a fumble in the UCLA end zone as the Bruins won in Tucson for the first time since 2003. Jack is now tied for third on the team with a total of 62 tackles on the season along with five tackles for a loss of 11 yards.
UCLA will return home for a Friday night contest as the Bruins will welcome the Washington Huskies on Friday, Nov. 15. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. PT, at the Rose Bowl with the game slated to air on ESPN2.
