Led by Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Darian Jenkins, the UCLA women's soccer team placed a conference-best seven players on the 2013 All-Pac-12 teams, including six on the first team. Jenkins, Abby Dahlkemper, Sarah Killion, Jenna Richmond, Katelyn Rowland and Taylor Smith earned first-team honors, and Sam Mewis received second-team acclaim. Additionally, Jenkins, Gabbi Miranda and Lauren Kaskie were selected to the All-Freshman team.

UCLA's six first-team selections are a conference record. The previous record of first-team all-conference selections was five, held by Stanford in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

Jenkins, a forward from Riverton, Utah, is the third Bruin to be named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and the first since Lauren Cheney in 2006. Jenkins closed out the 2012 regular season as the Pac-12 co-leader in goals scored (11) and game-winning goals (5). She currently ranks second in the conference points with 26. Jenkins also earned first-team All-Pac-12 and All-Freshman honors.

Dahlkemper, a junior defender from Menlo Park, Calif., earned her third consecutive first-team All-Pac-12 honor. The MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List honoree has been the leader of a defensive unit that has posted a Pac-12 best 0.34 goals against average, a total that ranks fourth in the nation. Dahlkemper has also contributed a goal and two assists. A standout in the classroom as well, she earned second-team Academic All-District acclaim.

Killion, a junior midfielder from Fort Wayne, Ind., picks up her second career honor from the Pac-12. She is tied for second in the Pac-12 with 10 assists and has also contributed a goal, the game-winner at then-eighth-ranked California. Killion is also a second-team Academic All-District honoree.

Richmond, a senior midfielder from Centreville, Va., receives her third career selection from the conference. The Bruin team co-captain with Killion and Mewis, she ranks fifth on the team in scoring with 11 points off three goals and five assists.

Rowland, a junior goalkeeper from Vacaville, Calif., receives her second all-conference selection. Rowland leads the Pac-12 and is second in the nation with a 0.312 goals against average, and her 0.897 save percentage ranks first in the conference and fourth nationally. She has allowed just six goals all season and has 10 solo and three shared shutouts.

Smith, a sophomore forward from Fort Worth, Texas, has dominated during Pac-12 play, leading all players in conference games with 13 points scored (4 goals, 5 assists). She has five goals and 10 assists overall for a total of 20 points, marking her second 20-point season.

Mewis, a junior midfielder from Hanson, Mass., is a second-team selection for the third-straight year. Mewis ranks third on the team in scoring with 14 points (5 goals 4 assists) and is second on the squad with three game-winning goals.

Joining Jenkins on the All-Freshman team are midfielder Kaskie (Las Vegas, Nev.) and defender Miranda (Highlands Ranch, Colo.). Kaskie has played in all 20 games for UCLA and has one goal and one assist, including the game-winning goal in double overtime at Stanford.
