BERKELEY, Calif. -- The Bruins had no answer for Reshanda Gray, who scored 32 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the #16/19 California Golden Bears to a 69-53 win on Sunday night at Haas Pavilion.

Like it did at #4 Stanford on Friday, UCLA battled for the first half, but let things slip away in the second.

The Bruins led by as many as four points (29-25) with under three minutes to go in the first half. But California closed out the half with a 12-2 run to take a 37-31 lead into the break. The Golden Bears outrebounded UCLA 21-15 in the first half, but committed 12 turnovers.

California dominated the second half, leading by as many as 20 points with the Bruins never threatening. The Bruins committed a season-low six turnovers at Stanford, but committed 17 against California, leading to 12 points off turnovers and 10 fastbreak points for the Golden Bears.

California improved to 14-5 overall and 6-2 in league play while UCLA dropped to 10-11 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-12. The Bruins dropped to 1-7 this season vs. ranked teams.

Brittany Boyd had a solid all-around game for Cal with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. She and Gray were the only Golden Bears to reach double figures.

Sophomore Nirra Fields scored a Pac-12-high 26 points to lead UCLA and was the only Bruin to reach double figures. She also had her third double-double of the year with a team-high 10 rebounds. Atonye Nyingifa saw her 10-game streak of scoring in double figures come to an end with eight points and was held to a Pac-12-low three rebounds. Corinne Costa had eight points, six blocks and three rebounds for the Bruins, but fouled out of her fourth game of the year.

The Bruins return home to host Washington on Friday, Jan. 31 at Pauley Pavilion. The game will tip-off at 8:06 p.m. and air on the Pac-12 Networks.
