The Bruins (16-2) will meet the Sun Devils for the 17th time and own a 16-1 advantage in the series. ASU won for the first time last season in Tempe to open the conference season. The Bruins avenged that loss with a 10-7 victory in the MPSF Tournament – a victory that sent them to the NCAA Tournament.
UCLA boasts a balanced attack, featuring five players scoring 20 or more goals. Junior Emily Donohoe leads the Bruins with 34 goals, followed by senior Becca Dorst with 25. One of these players has scored in every game for UCLA this season.
In goal, the Bruins boast All-American Sami Hill, who ranks second in the conference with 163 saves and a goals against average of 4.69.
Arizona State counters with sophomore goalkeeper E.B. Keve, who leads the league with a saves average of 12.57 per game. She ranks fifth in the MPSF with a goals against average of 7.92.
On offense, freshman Alkistis Benekou leads the Sun Devils with 39 goals and a 2.79 goals per game average, third in the league. Freshman Izabella Chiappini (33 goals) ranks sixth in the league at 2.36 gpg.
