"The philanthropic support provided by Wooden Athletic Fund donors continues to play an increasingly important role in UCLA Athletics' ability to consistently enhance the experiences offered to student-athletes and fans alike," said Josh Rebholz, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. "As we move toward ambitious goals to further enhance UCLA Athletics’ offerings through the UCLA Centennial Campaign, we remain ever grateful for the incredible generosity of UCLA's donors. Without the tremendous support consistently provided by private donors, UCLA would not be able to offer our extraordinary student-athletes world-class opportunities for success in the classroom, in competition and in the community."
To date, more than 4,200 WAF members have renewed their donations ahead of the June 30 deadline to receive complete membership benefits (including priority seating and parking) for the coming year. The Wooden Athletic Fund continued its "Become a Champion" campaign for a second consecutive year, encouraging all existing donors to increase at least one giving level from what they donated the previous year. Additionally, as part of the new 8-Clap-8K campaign, all UCLA alumni, fans and friends who are not yet members are encouraged to join the Wooden Athletic Fund at the minimum $100 dollar level, and all current donors are encouraged to refer a new member to the Wooden Athletic Fund in 2014.
Anyone who participates in any of these three ways will automatically qualify to "Become a Champion" and will receive an exclusive Wooden Athletic Fund adidas hat.
Donors are strongly encouraged to renew their membership online. To renew online, donors should visit woodenathleticfund.com and click "Renew Membership" under the "Donate Now" tab, then enter the 10-digit User Identification Number listed under their name on the Statement of Support.
