LOS ANGELES - Senior Tabi Love led all players with 15 kills, three others totaled at least five kills and sophomore Megan Moenoa set the Bruins to a .400 hitting percentage and had 33 assists and five digs, as the sixth-ranked Bruins swept Arizona State on Friday at the John Wooden Center. Set scores were 25-22, 25-13, 25-15.

The Bruins improve to 11-3 overall and 3-2 in the Pac-12, while the Sun Devils fall to 13-5 and 2-3 in league play.

Love hit .393 and added four blocks. A pair of players had five kills and no errors, as junior Mariana Aquino hit .714 in seven swings with six blocks, while sophomore Karsta Lowe hit .833 in six attempts. Senior Rachael Kidder recorded seven kills, sophomore Zoë Nightingale added five blocks and senior Bojana Todorovic and junior Kelly Reeves both had six digs.

The first set featured 10 ties and three lead changes, as neither team led by more than three points. Arizona State scored the first three points of the match, but UCLA responded with a 9-3 run to take a 9-6 edge. Love had three kills and a block assist during the run, Kidder added two kills, Nightingale posted a kill and Aquino had two block assists.

With UCLA up 14-11, the Sun Devils went on a 5-1 run to re-take the lead at 16-15. Eight sideouts later, back-to-back kills by Love put the home team back up 21-20. ASU tied it with a sideout, but the Bruins scored four of the last five on an ASU attack error, an Aquino kill and a pair of kills from Love, including one on UCLA's second set point, to take the opener 25-22. Love paced the Bruins with 10 kills in the first, Kidder added four and Aquino posted three. In a good offensive set for both teams, the Bruins out-hit the Sun Devils .366 to .314.

The Bruins never trailed in the second set. Tied at one, UCLA scored three straight and 10 of the next 11 to take an 11-2 advantage. Aquino and Moenoa were huge during the run, as each had two kills and teamed up for a pair of blocks. A 5-3 Arizona State run trimmed its deficit to seven at 14-7, but the visitors would get no closer.

UCLA responded with an 8-2 run to go up by a set-best 13 at 22-9. Love, Lowe and Nightingale posted kills during the run, Kidder had a solo block, Love and Nightingale teamed up for a block and ASU made three errors. On the Bruins' third set point, a Sun Devil service error gave the home squad a 25-13 victory. UCLA spread the wealth on offense, with six different players posting kills and Nightingale leading the way with three. The Bruins had 12 kills and no errors in 21 swings for a .571 hitting percentage, as Arizona State hit .103.

Arizona State's biggest lead of the third set was two at 3-1, at which UCLA came back with a 10-3 run to go ahead 11-6. Love had two kills and two block assists during the run, while Nightingale was also a part of a pair of blocks.

The Bruins saw their lead grow to as many as eight at 17-9, but the Sun Devils came back with a 5-0 run to cut their deficit to three at 17-14. However, UCLA would not be denied, scoring eight of the last nine points of the match to win it 25-15. Kidder had a kill and an ace during the final run, Nightingale and freshman Becca Strehlow teamed up for a block and Love got the match-clinching kill. Love led the Bruins with four kills, while Nightingale added four blocks in the third, as the Bruins out-hit the Sun Devils .278 to -111.

The Bruins face Arizona on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the John Wooden Center. The match will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks. Gametracker and free audio will also be available at UCLABruins.com.
