LOS ANGELES - The sixth-ranked Bruins dropped their second match to No. 3 Hawai'i in three days, falling 5-0 on Saturday afternoon at Stanford's Arguello Park. UCLA droped to 6-3 on the year while Hawai'i improved to 11-2.
Three Bruin pairs pushed Hawai'i to a third set, but all three lost by three or fewer points in the deciding set.
At #4 doubles, Skylar Dykstra and Jennie Frager dropped a three-set match (21-13, 10-21, 13-15) to the Hawai'i duo of Tayler Higgins and Karlee Riggs. The Bruin duo dropped to 4-5 overall and 4-4 at No. 4 doubles.
The Bruins return to action on Sunday (March 30) with a pairs tournament played on all four courts starting at 8 a.m. PT at Stanford. Admission and parking is free. Competition will happen rain or shine. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating.
