Urbana, Ill. - The UCLA men's and women's tennis teams are still in the hunt for two singles championships, as Robin Anderson and Marcos Giron both won matches on Thursday to advance to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships at the University of Illinois.

Anderson, the tournament's No. 3 seed on the women's side, downed Santa Clara's Katie Le, 7-6(1), 6-2 in Thursday's second round. She will face Nebraska's Mary Weatherholt on Friday at 10:00 a.m. for a spot in the quarterfinals. Anderson is the last remaining Bruin in the women's singles draw, as freshman Kyle McPhillips lost a close one on Thursday, falling to Petra Niedermayerova of Kansas State, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(6).
