Squaring off in Sunday's main draw singles final will be senior Clay Thompson and freshman Mackenzie McDonald. Thompson, the tournament's No. 1 seed, downed teammate Gage Brymer, 6-4, 6-3 in the top half of the draw. Playing in the bottom half of the draw, the third-seeded McDonald bested unseeded Ziad Sultan of UCSB, 7-6, 6-2. Thompson and McDonald will play for the title at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
McDonald will also play in Sunday's doubles final, as he and teammate Karue Sell beat BYU's Andrey Goryachkov and Francis Sargeant, 8-6 in Saturday's semifinals. The second-seeded McDonald and Sell will take on unseeded teammates Joseph Di Giulio and Ryoto Tachi in the final at 12:30 p.m. Di Giulio and Tachi beat Cal Poly's Devin Barber and Corey Pang, 8-4.
Bruin Seth Stolar took home the consolation singles title on Saturday, downing UC Irvine's Caryl Hernandez, 6-3, 6-4.
All matches are played on campus at UCLA's Los Angeles Tennis Center. There is no cost for admission to the event.
