LOS ANGELES - The 2013 NCAA Champion UCLA Baseball team returned to Jackie Robinson Stadium on Wednesday, much to the delight of the fans and athletic department staff gathered to greet the team as they got off their bus.
The Bruins clinched UCLA's first-ever baseball title - and 109th overall NCAA team championship - with an 8-0 victory against Mississippi State in the second game of the College World Series best-of-three championship round on Tuesday night at TD Ameritrade Ballpark in Omaha, Neb.
UCLA will be hosting a championship celebration on the field at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Thursday at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Gates will open at 12:30 p.m.
