In advance of Veteran’s Day, UCLA Baseball head coach John Savage and team representative Aaron Weimer, in conjunction with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, participated in a meet and greet with veterans on Thursday, Nov. 7. Savage and Weimer joined members of the Laker Girls and a few others on the West Los Angeles VA grounds, signing autographs, posing for photographs and exchanging stories with military veterans throughout the afternoon.

UCLA Athletics will continue to honor veterans and military personnel at Friday’s 6:00 pm football game against the Washington Huskies at the Rose Bowl. All active members of the U.S. Armed Forces can receive one free reserved ticket and can purchase up to eight additional tickets in the reserved seating area at a 50% discount. Additionally, all veterans can also receive a 50% discount on up to eight tickets in the reserved seating area.
To obtain these tickets deals, active military and veterans can show their military or veteran ID at the UCLA Central Ticket Office before Nov. 15 or at the Rose Bowl box office on game day. Tickets can also be purchased online here. To unlock the deal, enter the appropriate promo code, which can be obtained by contacting the local veteran affairs office or military base.
At the game, UCLA will honor Veteran of the Year Paul Cohen and show video tributes on the Big Screen at the Rose Bowl, and the UCLA marching band will perform a special patriotic halftime show.
