What are you looking forward to most about being a member of the team?
Being a part of an amazing group of talented, young women.
Why did you choose UCLA?
I chose UCLA because of the academics, the city of Westwood, and the diverse student body. Plus, the team was so welcoming on my official visit, I just fell in love with the school.
How did your family react to your college decision?
My family was extremely supportive of my college decision.
When did you begin competing and why?
I began competing when I was a sixth grader. I decided to try cross country because I liked running in P.E. class and I ended up loving the sport.
When did you realize you could compete at the Division 1 level?
When I began receiving letters from division I universities that was when I realized I could compete at the division I level.
What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make as a college athlete?
Being away from the comforts and ease of home as well as learning how to manage my time.
What goals do you have for this season?
Make it to nationals.
Have you decided on or what is your major and why?
I am majoring in geology because I love it.
What are your plans after college?
Hopefully get a job.
Is there any other athlete, either professional or collegiate, that inspires you?
Sierra Vega inspires me.
Athletes have strict diet regimens, but if there is one food you cannot live without, what is it?
Chocolate and Ice Cream.
