Bruins Fifth after First Round at NCAA's

The 10th ranked UCLA women's golf team is fifth after the first round of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Purdue University at its Kampen Course in West Lafayette, IN.

The Bruins posted a score of 314, 26-over par, and trail fourth-place Florida by one shot. USC leads the field at 305, followed by Oklahoma State at 308 and Ohio State at 309.

Individually for the Bruins sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas is tied for seventh after posting a 75 and freshman Susie Mathews is tied for 10th after a 76. Junior Hana Kim is tied for 23rd after posting a 78. Juniors Gina Umeck and Melissa Martin are tied for 102nd after posting rounds of 85.
