This past weekend, July 11-14, three Bruin divers competed at the U.S. Diving Senior Zone D Championships, held in Tucson, AZ. At the meet, the Bruins competed in the one-meter, three-meter and platform diving events.
In the prelims of the one-meter, soon-to-be sophomore Janine Strack led the way, finishing 19th with 169.40 points. Seniors-to-be Jennifer McNally and Regan Gosnell finished 20th and 21st, respectively, with 167.95 and 164.85 points.
In the three-meter finals, Strack placed 12th with 355.70 points. Gosnell was 17th (173.90) and McNally was 20th (151.40).
In the platform, Strack finished fifth with 364.15 points and Gosnell was sixth with 349.75 points. With their performances, both qualified for the U.S. Senior Nationals, to be held July 22-27 in Dallas, TX. It will be Strack's first trip to Senior Nationals and Gosnell's fourth trip on the platform.
