Senior guard Michelle Greco (La Crescenta, CA/Crescenta Valley HS) of the UCLA Women's Basketball Team was selected as the UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 23-29.
Greco, who was also last week's Student-Athlete of the Week, scored 29 points on 11-20 shooting from the field in UCLA's 58-54 victory at Oregon State. She also recorded five rebounds and three steals and forced many of Oregon State's 26 turnovers during 38 minutes of play. With the Beavers leading 43-41 with 10 minutes to play in the second half, Greco scored eight points in a 10-3 spurt that gave UCLA a 51-46 lead that it never relinquished. The win snapped a five-game losing streak against the Beavers.
Against Oregon in the 93-68 road win, Greco scored 11 points on 5-9 shooting with six assists, one rebound and three steals in 34 minutes of action. The win at Oregon was UCLA's first at MacArthur Court since 1998 and was its biggest road win ever against the Ducks.
UCLA swept the Oregon schools for the first time in five years.
Greco continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game. She also leads the team with 28 steals.
This is Greco's second UCLABruins.com Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and the fourth of her career.
