Box Score

WASHINGTON (AP) - Cedric Bozeman made two free throws with 4.9 seconds to play, ending UCLA's nine-game losing streak with a 71-70 win over Georgetown Saturday.

Bozeman came into the game as just a 48 percent free throw shooter, but made both to give UCLA (5-14) its first win since beating Washington State on Jan. 4.

Gerald Riley led Georgetown (10-9) with 20 points, but fouled out with 44.9 seconds to play.

Drew Hall, who scored 10 points, gave the Hoyas the lead three different times in the second half. The last time on a 3-pointer with 32.6 seconds remaining that gave the Hoyas a 70-69 advantage.

The Bruins held for the last shot and Bozeman earned a trip to the line when he was fouled by Tony Bethel fighting for a loose ball. Hall missed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer giving Georgetown its fifth straight loss, which includes two overtime losses and two losses by one point.

UCLA held Mike Sweetney to just 10 points as he was shuttled in and out of the game in the second half after picking up his fourth foul just more than two minutes after halftime.

Jason Kapono scored 16 points to lead UCLA, which was held without a field goal over the final 3:33.

After trailing by as many as eight in the second half, two free throws by Hall gave Georgetown a 55-54 lead with 7:27 to play in the game. The first lead for the Hoyas since they lead 12-11.

UCLA led 38-32 at halftime after holding the Hoyas to 32 percent shooting from the floor. Georgetown was forced to search for other offensive options when leading scorer Sweetney picked up his third foul with 4:06 to play in the first half. UCLA center Ryan Hollins, who came into Saturday's game averaging just less than three points per game, scored 12 in the first half.
