Bruins Host Washington State, Honor Coach Adams and Seniors:
UCLA (27-23, 8-7) enter the weekend series with Washington State (25-20, 5-10) alone in third place in the conference. The Cougars are currently last in the Pac-10, but are still five games over .500 overall.
On Sunday, UCLA will honor Head Coach Gary Adams, along with the team's five seniors. Adams, who will be retiring following the 2004 season, will be coaching in his final Pac-10 home game. Senior salutes and the tribute to Coach Adams will begin at approximately 11:40 a.m.
UCLA Completes First Sweep Of Cal State Fullerton Since 1991:
The Bruins hit three home runs and held Cal State Fullerton to four hits en route to a 8-2 victory on Tuesday night. Wes Whisler drove in three runs, while Chris Denove, Brandon Averill and Jarrad Page each homered.
Starter Daniel Miltenberger improved to 3-0 on the season as he threw a career-high six innings and allowed only two hits. Reliever Kyle Wilson struck-out a career-high five batters, including three in the ninth inning, to earn his second save of 2004.
Bruins Earn One Win In Weekend Series With Arizona:
Casey Janssen picked up his eighth win of the season and UCLA picked up its only win of the weekend on Friday night over Arizona. In the 7-3 nonconference victory, the Bruin bullpen relieved Janssen, holding the Wildcats to only one run on one hit in the final 4.2 frames. The Bruin staff struck out 10 batters on the night.
On Saturday, UCLA hit a season-high four home runs, but it wouldn't be enough as Arizona claimed a 20-9 victory. Preston Griffin, Brandon Averill, Wes Whisler and Will Penniall all homered in the contest.
Sunday saw UCLA held to two hits, as Arizona hurler John Meloan pitched complete game. Griffin and Ryan McCarthy had the lone Bruin hits., which were both home runs. Griffin's roundtripper came in the first Bruin at-bat of the game and marked his second home run in as many games.

About Washington State...
The Cougars return to Pac-10 play after facing Sacramento State last weekend. Currently, 25-20 overall and 5-10 in Pac-10 action, Washington State was swept by second-ranked Staford in its last conference set.
Washington State is led by Head Coach Tim Mooney, who is in his fourth year at the helm of the Cougars. He has a 80-129 mark while in Pullman. Last season, UCLA took two of three from the Cougars in the last series of the season.
