Four Bruins Finish among Top 25

Four UCLA golfers finished among the Top 25 players at the SCU Invitational, hosted at the Silver Creek Valley CC in San Jose. Santa Clara University hosted the tournament at the par 72, 6,926-yard course.

UCLA fielded a foursome of four individuals for this event and is not competing in the team competition.

UCLA freshman Chris Heintz tied for second place at one-over par 216 after posting a score of 72 on Tuesday. Freshman Peter Campbell tied for ninth place at seven-over par 223 and rookie Joakim Renstrom tied for 11th at eight-over 224. Both Campbell and Renstrom posted one-under par scores of 71 in the final round. Sophomore Breene Murphy tied for 21st place at 230 after posting a 77 in the third round.

Santa Clara won the tournament by seven strokes over the University of San Francisco.
