The 16th-ranked UCLA women's golf team finished third at the ASU Invitational and sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas won her first collegiate tournament title on Sunday at the Karsten Course.
The Bruins posted a final round team score of 292, four-over par, for a 54-hole total of 878. Cal won the tournament with a three-round total of 876 after shooting 295 on Sunday. Texas finished second at 877 and USC was fourth at 879, followed by Arizona at 886.
For UCLA, Mayorkas led the field wire-to-wire and won by four shots with a 54-hole total of 209, seven-under par. She posted a final round score of even par 72. Junior Hana Kim and freshman Susie Mathews tied for ninth place at four-over par 220. On Sunday, Kim fired a one-under par round of 71 and Mathews posted a one-over par score of 73. Juniors Gina Umeck and Krystal Shearer tied for 44th and 84th, respectively. Junior Bridget Dwyer, playing as an individual, placed 67th at 234 after posting a final round 77.
Cal's Sarah Huarte finished second at three-under par 213 after carding a 73 on Sunday and Washington's Louise Friberg finished third at 214, one-under par.
