The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team was tied for second place after day two at the NCAA West Regional, hosted by the University of Washington at Washington National Golf Course in Auburn, Wash.
The Bruins posted a team score of 303 (+15) and had a 36-hole total of 591 (+15). They were tied with Washington for second place. Both teams were eight shots behind Purdue, which posted score of 294 Friday for a two-round total of 583 (+7). Stanford and Oregon were tied for fourth at 598 (+22), followed by Arizona at 603 (+27), UNLV at 605 (+39) and Arkansas at 606 (+30).
The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championship in two weeks.
UCLA freshman Jane Park moved into a tie for second place after posting a second round score of 71 (-1) for a 36-hole total of 144 (E). Sophomore Amie Cochran was tied for eighth at 147 (+3) after carding a 75 (+3) and senior Susie Mathews was tied for 12th at 148 (+4) after signing for a 77 (+5). Freshman Tiffany Joh was tied for 30th at 152 (+8) and junior Hannah Jun was tied for 41st at 153 (+9). Both players carded rounds of 80 (+8) in the second round.
Washington's Paige Mackenzie remained atop the leaderboard after posting a 69 (-3) in the second round. She was seven-under par with a two-round score of 137.
