The Sundevils scored first in game two after a service error by freshman Nellie Spicer, but UCLA would take the lead after a kill by Johnson and proceeded on a 4-0 run to lead 14-9. ASU closed in to tie the game at 20 all after an attack error by junior Laura Kroneberger, but the Bruins would regain the lead after a block by junior Nana Meriwether and Johnson, 21-20. UCLA would go on to win game two 30-26.
In game two, UCLA never trailed after opening up with a kill by senior Nancy Barba. The Bruins would lead by as many as four points several times in the third game, eventually winning 30-27.
