LOS ANGELES - Despite owning a 27-3 advantage in the final shot count, the fourth-ranked UCLA women's soccer team saw its 10-match winning streak come to an end Sunday, playing to a 0-0 draw with Washington State in a Pac-10 Conference showdown at Drake Stadium. With the tie, UCLA's record moves to 14-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the conference. Washington State is now 8-7-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the Pac-10.

Among the Bruins' 27 shots, 10 were on goal and three either hit the post or the crossbar. UCLA's first chance to score came with just two seconds remaining in the first half, when midfielder Danesha Adams took a ball from Christina DiMartino and blasted a left-footed shot off the crossbar.

The Bruins' next legitimate opportunity came on a barrage of shots in the 75th minute. Bristyn Davis banked a shot off the post that bounced back into play to McCall Zerboni, who then hit another shot that was saved by Washington State goalkeeper Katie Hultin. That ball was tipped back into play, where Defender Jill Oakes hit another shot just wide left of the goal.

Once overtime began, it looked like the Bruins were going to get the victory on a goal by Stacy Lindstrom in the 94th minute following an Iris Mora corner kick. Mora's ball traveled across the top of the box to a waiting Lindstrom, who hit another shot that bounced off the post, keeping the Cougars in the match.

Hultin finished with 10 saves on the afternoon, while Bruin goalkeeper Valerie Henderson was forced to make just one save.

UCLA looks to regroup next week, traveling to the Bay Area for matches against No. 10 Cal (Fri.) and No. 25 Stanford (Sun.).
