The UCLA women's golf team placed fifth in Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, which was washed out Wednesday because of inclement weather.
The Bruins posted a two-round score of 608, one shot behind fourth place Oklahoma State and 10 shots behind Pepperdine, the tournament winner.
Sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas tied for second at 145, three-over par. It was her best career finish. Junior Melissa Martin tied for ninth at 150 and sophomore Yvonne Choe tied for 27th at 155. Juniors Krystal Shearer and Hana Kim tied for 42nd and 62nd, respectively. Junior Bridget Dwyer, who competed as an individual, tied for 33rd at 156.
Pepperdine's Katherine Hull won the event with a 36-hole total of 144, two-over par. Arizona's Erica Blasberg tied with Mayorkas in second place and the Waves' Lindsey Wright finished fourth at 146.
