Box Score

A seven-run second inning from top-seeded Florida (43-20) would lead the Gators to an 11-0 victory over UCLA (34-29), ending the Bruins' season in the final day of the NCAA Regional at Oklahoma City.

After scoring 17 runs the game before, UCLA was unable to get on the scoreboard on Sunday while Tommy Boss held the Bruins to four hits in the game. Boss struck-out eight batters on the day.

The Gators sent 11 batters to the plate in the second inning as a triple from Jeff Corsaletti highlighted the frame.

Preston Griffin had two hits on the day, while Chris Denove and Wes Whisler each had one. Denove hit his eighth double of the year in the game.

Denove and Griffin were both named to the All-Tournament team along with shortstop Ryan McCarthy, second baseman Mike Svetlic and Friday night starter Casey Janssen.

The game marked the conclusion of a remarkable season for UCLA, which was picked to finish seventh in the Pac-10. The Bruins claimed third-place in the conference and posted a 14-10 mark.

Sunday also saw the end of Gary Adams' career at UCLA. After 30 years at the helm of the program, the Bruin skipper will retire this summer. He will finish with 984 wins at UCLA and 1,172 victories over his coaching career.
