Recap| Final Stats| Quotes| Photo Gallery

  • In his first collegiate game, quarterback Matt Moore becomes the first UCLA true freshman quarterback to start a game since Cade McNown started against Oregon on Sept. 16, 1995.

  • Moore's 22-yard touchdown pass to Mike Seidman in the second quarter was the first TD pass by a UCLA true freshman since McNown against Washington State on Sept. 23, 1995.

  • Moore's 142 yards passing was the most by a UCLA true freshman quarterback since Cade McNown passed for 289 yards against Arizona State in 1995.

  • Senior Nate Fikse's 36-yard field goal in the first quarter was the first made field goal of his career. His only previous attempt was a 55-yarder against Colorado earlier this year. Fikse was 5-5 in the game in field goal attempts. Fikse becomes the first Bruin to kick five field goals since Chris Sailer hit five against Washington in 1998. The five field goals are one away from John Lee's school record of six, set in 1984 vs. San Diego State.

  • Dave Ball has recorded a quarterback sack in six-straight contests.

  • With 160 yards today, Tyler Ebell recorded his fourth consecutive 100+yard rushing game, the most consecutive 100-yard games by a Bruin since Skip Hicks had five consecutive in 1997. Ebell is the first freshman (true or redshirt) in UCLA history to rush for at least 100 yards four times.

  • Ebell had 39 carries on the day to set a UCLA freshman record for most carries in a game. He was three away from the school record of 42 carries, held by Karim Abdul-Jabbar vs. Stanford in 1995 and DeShaun Foster vs. Alabama in 2000 (42).

  • Ebell now has 632 yards for the season, third-most on the school freshman list, just behind Eric Ball's 703 yards in 1985 and DeShaun Foster's 673 yards in 1998.

  • UCLA overcame a 15-0 deficit in the second quarter to post its biggest comeback since Sept. 30, 2000 when the Bruins were down 21-0 in the second quarter and came back to defeat Arizona State, 38-31.

  • Ricky Manning's fourth quarter interception was the 12th of his career, tying him for 10th on UCLA's all-time list with Tom Sullivan (1979-82) and Jimmy Turner (1978-82).

  • With three catches for 19 yards today, Craig Bragg moved into 19th place on UCLA's single-season receiving yardage list with 652 yards on 39 receptions. His 39 receptions rank 23rd (tied) on UCLA's reception list.

  • Stanford's Casey Moore started his 40th-straight game at fullback.

  • Stanford has scored first in four of its last five games.

  • Julian Jenkins became the first true freshman for Stanford to score a touchdown since Kerry Carter in 1999.

  • With 84 yards today, Kerry Carter moved from ninth to seventh on Stanford's all-time school rushing list with 1,818 yards, ahead of Ray Handley (1,768 from 1963-65) and Tommy Vardell (1,789 from 1988-91).

  • UCLA increases its lead in the all-time series against Stanford to 39-30-3, and UCLA head coach Bob Toledo improves his career record to 47-30 (30-22 in Pac-10 play).
