Three UCLA golfers finished the Northeast Amateur at the par 69 Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI, Saturday after the final round was washed out due to heavy rains.
Steve Conway, Travis Johnson and John Merrick each completed 54 holes of the 72-hole tournament. Conway 69-72-69) tied for 12th place at three-over par 210. Johnson (69-71-73) tied for 17th place at six-over par 213 and Merrick (71-70-76) tied for 41st place at 10-over par 217.
Arizona's Chris Nallen won the event when he sank a 10-foot par putt on the first playoff hole Sunday to defeat Jason Hartwick of Sacramento, CA.
The UCLA trio will return to California this week to begin preparation for the Southern California Amateur Championship later in the week.
