UCLA held its annual public scrimmage on Saturday afternoon and 6,000 fans were treated to close to 100 plays. Both units played well and the Bruins made some big plays on both sides of the football. After the scrimmage, the fans were able to take pictures with the players and also get their autographs.

The scrimmage was situational, with series starting on different yards lines. Set of series started at the offense's 20-yard line, 10-yard line and 30-yard line. Other series started on at midfield, at the defense's 35-yard line and the 20-yard line. In most situations, the No. 1 offense faced the No. 1 defense, the No. 2s played the No. 2s, etc.

Ben Olson began with the No. 1 offense but also played with the No. 2 unit. He completed 14 of 23 passes for 156 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The touchdowns were 28 yards to Andrew Baumgartner and five yards to Ryan Graves. Michael Norris made the lone interception of the day.

Patrick Cowan, who also played with both the No. 1 and No. 2 offense, completed 10 of 25 passes for 92 yards and three touchdowns - 20 yards to Matt Willis and freshman Dominique Johnson and 19 yards to freshman Terrence Austin.

Osaar Rasshan completed four of six passes for 26 yards.

On the ground, Kahlil Bell led the Bruins with 53 yards on eight attempts. Freshman Jeremy McGee added 45 yards on four attempts, including a 38-yard touchdown. Freshman Chane Moline scored the other TD on a nine-yard run.

Matt Willis led all receivers with eight catches for 72 yards and a 20-yard touchdown. Brandon Breazell made five receptions for 40 yards and redshirt freshman Jamil Turner made four receptions for 55 yards.

Justin Medlock connected on a 53-yard field goal while freshman Kai Forbath made one from 34 yards and missed from 27 yards.
