This Week - UCLA Hosts Miami & Pepperdine
The No. 10 ranked UCLA women's tennis team returns home for a pair of matches at the Los Angeles Tennis Center this week. The Bruins host the University of Miami on Thursday, March 18 and Pepperdine on Friday, March 19. Both matches begin at 1:30 p.m. and admission is FREE.
Last Weekend - Bruins Bring Home Two Wins From Desert
Despite leaving No. 1 singles player Cristina Popescu home to continue recovering from an ailing shoulder, UCLA brought home two solid wins from their weekend in the desert as the Bruins defeated ASU 6-3 on Friday and swept Arizona 6-0 on Saturday. Tied with ASU at three matches each following singles play, the Bruins won all three doubles matches to claim the victory on Friday. Registering wins for the Bruins were Annica Cooper, Amanda Basica and Elizabeth Schmidt in the Nos. 1, 2 and 5 positions. Saturday's action saw the Bruins claim the victory in singles, thus doubles matches were not competed. UCLA posted straight-set wins on five courts and came from behind to complete the sweep with a three-set victory by Rochelle Raiss on court No. 6.
About The Opponents - Miami & Pepperdine

The Waves enter the week 10-3 overall, but host Miami on Wednesday before coming to UCLA. Earlier this season, UCLA handed the Waves their first loss of the year in a 5-1 decision on Feb. 2 in Malibu to improve the Bruins' all-time series lead to 31-8.
