Sophomore forward Iris Mora (Cancun, Mexico/Colegio de Bachilleres) of the UCLA Women's Soccer Team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of October 6 -13.
Mora led the third-ranked Bruins to overtime victories over ninth-ranked Washington, 3-2 and Washington State, 2-1 last week and a 2-0 win over San Diego. Against the Huskies, Mora assisted on all three Bruin goals, including the game-winner to Bristyn Davis with less than two minutes remaining. She also scored a goal in each of UCLA's wins over Washington State and San Diego. Mora currently leads the Bruins in scoring with 16 points on four goals and eight assists. She has also registered a goal or an assist in six consecutive matches.
This is Mora's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
