The UCLA women's golf team fell to fifth place at the 36-hole mark in the Regional Challenge hosted by Ohio State at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Bruins posted their highest single round team score of the season - a 32-over par 316 - and stand in fifth place at 608. The Bruins trail first place Pepperdine by 10 shots, followed by USC at 603, Arizona at 606 and Oklahoma State at 607. Texas is sixth at 617.
Individually, UCLA sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas is tied for second place at 145 after posting a six-over par score of 77. Junior Melissa Martin is tied for ninth at 150 after also posting a 77 Tuesday. Sophomore Yvonne Choe is tied for 27th at 155, junior Krystal Shearer is tied for 42nd at 158 and junior Hana Kim is tied for 62nd at 163. Junior Bridget Dwyer, playing as an individual, is tied for 33rd at 156.
Pepperdine's Katherine Hull is the tournament leader at 144 after carding a 75 in the second round. Arizona's Erica Blasberg is tied with Mayorkas in second place at 145 after posting a 74. The Waves' Lindsey Wright is fourth at 146 and four players are tied for fifth at 149.
