LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's soccer player Iris Mora has been named to the Soccer America Team of the Week (Oct. 6-12), following impressive performances in three UCLA victories last week.
Mora, a sophomore forward from Cancun, Mexico, started the week by registering the game-winning goal in UCLA's 2-0 victory over San Diego on Oct. 7. She followed that up with the Bruins' first goal, on a corner kick, in a 2-1 overtime victory over Washington State on Oct. 9. Against No. 9 Washington two days later, Mora assisted on all three goals in UCLA's 3-2 double-overtime victory over the Huskies.
Mora finished the week with seven points on a pair of goals and three assists. It is her first-ever appearance on Soccer America's Team of the Week.
