Men's Track Concludes Competition at NCAA Indoor Championships.

At the 2002 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships were held this weekend (March 8-9) in Fayetteville, AR and hosted by the University of Arkansas, senior Scott Moser finished 11th in the 35 lb. weight throw with a throw of 66-9.25 (20.35m). Moser was the only Bruin competitor on Saturday.

Results from Friday (March 8)

-Shot Put (final) - sophomore Dan Ames placed 10th (61-9.50) and junior Scott Wiegand was 15th (60-3.75). Although Ames did not score, he earned All-American honors (top eight Americans). In 2001 Ames also earned All-America honors in the indoor shot put.

-200m (qualifying) - Bruin senior Michael Lipscomb, along with Florida junior Taylor Jacobs, were disqualified in heat two and did not advance to the final, held later Friday.
