Top-Ranked Bruins Defeat UC Santa Barbara, 14-2

The top-ranked Bruins defeated UC Santa Barbara in the final regular season match 14-2. UCLA had a 14-0 shut-out until the last minutes of the game, when the Gauchos' Kelley Tiffany scored on a penalty shot and again with one second remaining. With today's victory, the Bruins improve to 18-3, 10-1 MPSF.

Five Bruins each scored a pair of goals. Kelly Heuchan, Thalia Munro, Natalie Golda, Jessica Lopez and Kristyn Pulver tallied 10 goals for the Bruins. Other UCLA scorers were Maureen Flanagan, Amber Stachowski, Robin Beauregard and Ashley Stachowski. Jaime Hipp had six saves in three quarters and Christel Smith had one save in one quarter.

Next up, the Bruins will compete at the MPSF Championships, April 26-28, hosted by USC, at the McDonald's Swim Stadium.
