Walker, Bradley ranked in ITA Top-10

Los Angeles - Bruin junior Sara Walker and freshman phenom Megan Bradley were both ranked in the top-10 in singles in the latest ITA Fall Rankings released last week.

Walker, who finished 2001 ranked No. 10 in the country, is ranked No. 6 in the fall edition. In doubles, her and partner Petya Marinova are ranked No. 8.

Bradley, a freshman who was widely regarded as the nation's top recruit last year, comes in just behind Walker at No. 7 in the fall rankings. In addition, her and partner Lauren Fisher are ranked No. 13 in doubles.

Fisher is the only other Bruins ranked in singles, coming in at No. 81. In doubles, freshman Sarah Gregg and Catherine Hawley are No. 54.

Team rankings will be released on Jan. 8.

UCLA opens the 2002 season on Jan. 18 at the Pac-10 Indoors in Seattle, Wash.
