Aug. 15, 2005

Sophomore Brittany Renfrow finished off her 2004-2005 season with a sixth-place finish on three-meter at the Speedo National Championships this past weekend. The Pac-10 Freshman Diver of the Year, Renfrow moved from eighth after the semifinals (434.64) to sixth after the finals (448.20).

"Brittany did a really nice job," said Head Dive Coach Tom Stebbins. "She moved up a couple of spots in the finals and finished up this season in great fashion. I'm very proud of how she competed and what she accomplished this season."

Renfrow wasn't the only diver in action in Huntersville, NC as she was joined by seniors Amanda Blong and Paige Thompson and incoming freshmen Marisa Samaniego and Tess Schofield.

Schofield posted an eighth-place finish on the platform on Friday (369.90). Blong, competing on the one-meter, placed 13th with a score of 215.55. Thompson and Samaniego, diving on the three-meter board, finished 17th (399.18) and 19th (204.81), respectively.
