The UCLA women's golf team is tied for seventh place after the second round of the TRW Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Course.
The Bruins posted a team score Tuesday of 301, 17-over par, and are tied with USC at 610. Both teams trail Wake Forest and Oklahoma State, which are tied for fifth at 604.
No. 2 ranked Tulsa leads the tournament with a 36-hole total of 575, eight-over par.
Individually for the Bruins, senior Alicia Um and freshman Yvonne Choe each fired even par rounds of 71 on Tuesday. Um is tied for 18th at 150, and Choe is tied for 38th at 154. Sophomore Krystal Shearer is tied for 45th at 155, followed by Melissa Martin, who is tied for 58th at 156. Johanna Andersson is tied for 65th at 159, and freshman Charlotte Mayorkas shaved nine strokes off her first round score by posting a 75. She climbed 20 spots and is now tied for 65th at 159.
Arizona's Lorena Ochoa leapfrogged from fourth place to first on Tuesday with a second round score of 66. She stands atop the leaderboard at 138, four-under par, three shots ahead of first round leader Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa.
