Los Angeles, CA- Head Diving Coach Tom Stebbins will have seven divers competing in this weekend's 2001 Division I Zone E Diving Championships at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash., Friday and Saturday (March 9-10).
Leading the Bruin contingent is senior Anne Baghramian who is coming of scoring lifetime bests in the three-meter (493.70) and platform 375.10 at the Pac-10 Championships in Federal Way, WA (Feb. 22-24). Baghramian competed in all three boards at the 1999 NCAA Championship meet.
Sophomore Heidi Prosser is equally impressive as she recorded lifetime bests in the one-meter (270.35) and three-meter (460.15) at the conference championships. Regan Gosnell, another sophomore standout also put up stellar numbers at the conference championships, posting lifetime bests in the one-meter (264.10) and the platform (381.50).
Freshman Michelle Brown, who has competed this season with the confidence of an upperclassman, will be looking to qualify for the NCAAs after scoring lifetime bests in the three-meter (433.50) and platform (338.05) at the Pac-10s.
