LOS ANGELES - UCLA's Jill Oakes (West Hills, Calif.) and Iris Mora (Cancun, Mexico) were recently named to the NSCAA/adidas Division-I All-America Women's Soccer Team after helping the Bruins to the NCAA Championship match two weeks ago in Cary, NC.

For Oakes, a junior midfielder, it is the first All-America honor of her career. She was named to the second team after finishing the season with eight points (3g, 2a). She was one of just six UCLA players to start all 25 matches in 2004.

Mora, a junior forward, earned third-team honors in 2004 after being named to the first team a year ago. Despite sitting out the first six matches of the season, she ranked third on the team in scoring with 17 points (4g, 9a). She led the team with nine assists and also had three game-winning goals.

UCLA, which finished No. 2 in the national polls, fell to Notre Dame, 1-1 (4-3 on PKs) in the national title game.
