OKLAHOMA CITY - UCLA's Women's College World Series game against Washington was suspended at 8 p.m. Central Time on Friday evening due to threatening weather conditions approaching Don Porter Hall of Fame Stadium. The stadium has been cleared and no specific time has been set for the resumption of this game, nor has a time been set for the Oklahoma vs. Southern Miss. game that was to start at 8:30 p.m. CT.
At the time of the suspension, the Bruins are leading the Huskies by a 3-0 margin on the strength of a double steal in the second nning and a two-run home run by Lyndsey Klein in the third. However, Washington had Rosie Leutzinger on third base and Kim DePaul on second when the game was stopped. Bruin pitcher Amanda Freed was in the midst of an intentional walk to Jenny Topping, and will resume with a 3-0 count and one out in the inning.
Two more outs were needed by the Bruins to make the game official.
