The Bruins had a pretty good weekend in Texas, with junior Paige Thompson (1M) and Strack (3M) diving to season best scores, while junior Amanda Blong bettered her personal best by 20 points on the 3M. On Friday, Thompson finished fourth in the 3M, Blong was sixth, and Strack placed 10th. In the 1M competition on Saturday, Thompson placed fifth, Blong was sixth, Strack finished 15th, and freshman Brittany Renfrow was 22nd.

"I am pleased with how we handled things this weekend, but I also see that we have lots of work to do if we plan to accomplish the goals we have set for ourselves concerning the end of this season," said Head Dive Coach Tom Stebbins.

"I am really looking forward to getting through finals and putting our noses to the grindstone to get the work that we need to get in."

The divers will next travel to Tempe, AZ on January 7-8 for the ASU Invitational. The swim and dive team will return to competition together on January 15 when they host UC San Diego and Pepperdine in the final home meet of the season.
