Seven Football Game Times Set
By: UCLA Athletics

June 9, 2000

Four games -- two home games and two road games -- on UCLA's 2000 football schedule will be televised by ABC Sports. Others may be selected at a later date.

ABC will televise the season-opener versus Alabama on Sept. 2 and the Michigan contest on Sept. 16 from the Rose Bowl. Both games will kick off at 12:30 p.m. The network has also selected the Oct. 28 game at Arizona and the Nov. 11 contest at Washington. Both of those games will kick off at 4:00 p.m.

Fox Sports Net has selected three games to televise this Fall. The Bruins' home game against Arizona State on Sept. 30 will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. and the Homecoming contest versus Stanford on Nov. 4 will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. In addition, FSN will televise UCLA's Pac-10 opener at Oregon on Sept. 23. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Other game times and television plans will be announced at a later date.

Season and single-game tickets for the 2000 UCLA home football schedule are now on sale on UCLA's Official Athletic Website (www.uclabruins.com).

The Bruins are playing the best home schedule in school history, featuring crosstown rival USC (Nov. 18) and six teams that played in a post-season bowl game last year.

Alabama (Sept. 2) and Michigan (Sept. 16) faced each other in the Orange Bowl. Fresno State (Sept. 9) played in the EA Sports Las Vegas Bowl.

Among the Pac-10 opponents, Arizona State (Sept. 30) played in the Jeep Aloha Bowl, Oregon State (Oct. 21) played in the Jeep Oahu Bowl and defending Pac-10 champion Stanford (Nov. 4) played in the Rose Bowl.
